Hyundai Tucson: Rear Wiper Washer - Removal
Hyundai Tucson - Fourth generation (NX4) - (2020-2023) - Workshop Manual / Body Electrical System / Rear Wiper Washer / Rear Wiper Washer - Removal
- Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal.
- Loosen the mounting nut and remove the rear wiper arm & blade (A).
WARNING
Take care not to damage the rear glass when removing the rear wiper arms & blades.
- Remove the tail gate trim.
(Refer to Body - "Tailgate Trim")
- Disconnect the motor connector (A).
- Loosen the mounting bolts and remove the rear wiper motor assembly (A).
Installation
- Install the rear wiper motor assembly.
Tightening torque Nut: 6.9 - 9.8 Nm (0.7 - 1.0 kgf.m. 5.0 - 7.2 lbf.ft)
- Install the tail gate trim.
- Install the rear wiper arm cap after tighting the nut.
Tightening torque Nut: 8.8 - 12.7 N.m (0.9 - 1.3 kgf.m, 6.5 - 9.4 Ib.ft)
- Set the rear wiper blade and to the lowest defogger heat line and tailgate glass.
Inspection
- Remove the connector from the rear wiper motor.
- Connect battery positive (+) and negative (-) cables to terminals 2 and 1 respectively.
- Check that the motor operates normally. Replace the motor if it operates abnormally.
