Components

  1. Pulley
  2. Stator assembly
  3. Rotor assembly
  4. Brush holder assembly
  5. Front bracket assembly
  6. Rear bracket assembly
  7. Inverter assembly

Removal

  1. Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
  2. Disconnect the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG) cables (A)

Tightening torque : 18.6 - 24.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.5 kgf.m, 13.7 - 18.1 lb-ft)

  1. Disconnect the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG) connector (A).

  1. Disconnect the extension connector (A) and then remove the turbo charger coolant pipe mounting bolts (B).

Tightening torque : 9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)

  1. Separate the fastener (A) from the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG).

  1. Disconnect the turbo charger coolant hose (A) and reservoir tank coolant hose (B).

  1. Remove the drive belt tensioner.

(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Drive Belt Tensioner")

  1. Remove the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG) mounting bolt (A).

Tightening torque : 49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 Ib-ft)

  1. Remove the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG) (A).

Installation

Installation

Install in the reverse order of removal.
