Components
- Pulley
- Stator assembly
- Rotor assembly
- Brush holder assembly
- Front bracket assembly
- Rear bracket assembly
- Inverter assembly
Removal
- Turn the ignition switch OFF and disconnect the battery (-) terminal.
- Disconnect the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG) cables (A)
Tightening torque : 18.6 - 24.5 N.m (1.9 - 2.5 kgf.m, 13.7 - 18.1 lb-ft)
- Disconnect the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG) connector (A).
- Disconnect the extension connector (A) and then remove the turbo charger coolant pipe mounting bolts (B).
Tightening torque : 9.8 - 11.8 N.m (1.0 - 1.2 kgf.m, 7.2 - 8.7 lb-ft)
- Separate the fastener (A) from the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG).
- Disconnect the turbo charger coolant hose (A) and reservoir tank coolant hose (B).
- Remove the drive belt tensioner.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - "Drive Belt Tensioner")
- Remove the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG) mounting bolt (A).
Tightening torque : 49.0 - 63.7 N.m (5.0 - 6.5 kgf.m, 36.2 - 47.0 Ib-ft)
- Remove the mild hybrid starter generator (MHSG) (A).
Installation
Install in the reverse order of removal.

Inspection
Using the Ammeter
Turn the all electric devices OFF, and then turn the ignition switch OFF.
Close all doors except the engine hood, and then lock all doors.
(1) Disconnect the hood switch connector.
(2) Close the trunk lid.
CMF Battery
Description
The CMF (Closed Maintenance Free) battery is, as the name implies, totally
maintenance free and has
no removable battery cell caps.
The CMF (Closed Maintenance Free) battery does not require water replenishment
for the repair.

Replacement
WARNING
In principle, the Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) oil is not changed
under normal driving conditions.
However, under harsh driving conditions, it must be changed every 80,000 miles.
Harsh driving conditions are as follows
Starting System- Description
The starting system includes the battery, starter, solenoid switch, ignition
switch, ignition lock switch,
connection wires and the battery cable.
When the ignition key is turned to the start position, current flows and
energizes the starter
