Curtain Air Bag (CAB)

Removal

Disconnect the batteiy negative terminal.

WARNING

After disconnecting the cables, wait at least 3 minutes.

Remove the roof trim.
(Refer to Body - "Roof Trim Assembly")
Disconnect the connector (A) from the curtain Airbag module.

Remove the curtain airbag module (A) after loosening the bolt and nut.

Tightening torque :

Bolt: 7.8 - 11.8 N.m (0.8 - 1.2 kgf.m, 5.8 - 8.7 lb-ft)

Nut: 3.9 - 5.9 N.m (0.4 - 0.6 kgf.m, 2.9 - 4.4 lb-ft)

Installation

Installation

Install in the reverse order of removal.
After installing the airbag module, confirm proper system operation.

WARNING

Switch ON the ignition. The SRS indicator light should turn on for about three-six seconds and then off.
